Roundabout Theatre Company staged Arthur Miller's A View From the Bridge at the Criterion Center Stage Right, with previews starting on November 25, 1997, opening night December 14, 1997 and closing night February 22, 1998. The production had a commercial transfer to the Neil Simon Theatre under the management of  Nederlander and Associates. The transfer opened April 14, 1998 and closed August 30, 1998, after a limited extension that brought Tony Danza in to replace the departing Anthony LaPaglia.

Roundabout and Anthony LaPaglia were Tony Award winners (Best Revival, Best Actor in a Play) and Allison Janney and Michael Mayer were both nominated for Tony's (Best Actress in a Play, Best Direction). All four won Drama Desk awards (Outstanding Revival, Outstanding Actor, Outstanding Featured Actress, OUtstanding Direction) with Kenneth Posner and Mark Bennett nominated (Outstanding Lighting, Outstanding Sound).

Directed by Michael Mayer with set design by David Gallo, costume design by Michael Krass, lighting design by Kenneth Posner, and sound design by Mark Bennett.

Robert LuPone played the part of Alfieri, Anthony LaPaglia played the part of Eddie, Daniel Serafini-Sauli played the part of Louis, Brittany Murphy played the part of Catherine, Allison Janney played the part of Beatrice, Mark Zeisler played the part of Mike, Gabriel Olds played the part of Rodolpho, Jeffrey Donovan played the part of Marco, John Speredakos played the part of 1st Officer and Christian Lincoln played the part of 2nd Officer. Understudies: John Speredakos, Caren Browning, Mark Zeisler, Tricia Paoluccio, Crispin Freeman, Paul Hrisikos, Christian Lincoln, Gregory Esposito.
 
Arthur Miller (1915-2005) was a Pulitzer Prize winning playwright who, alongside Eugene O'Neill and Tennessee Williams, is considered one of the great twentieth century American playwrights. Some of his works include The Man Who Had All the Luck, All My Sons, Death of a Salesman, A View From the Bridge and The Crucible
The collection consists of 2 Hollinger boxes with management and stage documentation, including contracts, script, author's agreement, commercial transfer documentation, casting notes, and extensive press clippings. Comprehensive design documentation is not present but notes and invoices provide access and context in lieu of comprehensive materials.

Photograph File contains color slides, black and white prints, black and white contact sheets (opening night and production) and select head shots.

Digital File contains scanned photographs, scanned playbill, scanned press clippings, scanned study guide, artwork, and video b-roll and news coverage.
