Production Files documenting the 2005 production of Richard Greenberg's A Naked Girl on the Appian Way at the American Airlines Theatre.  Directed by Doug Hughes, with set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski, and original music and sound design by David Van Tiegham.

The production starred Jill Clayburgh as Bess Lapin and Richard Thomas as Jeffrey Lapin; with Ann Guilbert as Sadie, Leslie Ayvazian as Elaine, Susan Kelechi Watson as Juliet Lapin, Matthew Morrison as Thad Lapin and James Yaegashi as Bill Lapin.  Understudies were Charlotte Maier, Ray Virta, Phyllis Johnson, Terrence Riordan, James Seol, and Nancy Franklin.

Although there was a good amount of press coverage building up to this production, particularly with profiles of the key players, the reviews were middling and there is no evidence of it having been nominated for any awards.
Set in the Hamptons, successful near-retirement authors Bess and Jeffrey Lapin prepare for a family reunion to welcome their three young adult, adopted children back from a trip around Europe.  The party atmosphere is rocked and the nature of love and family relationships called into question when two of the children announce their engagement to each other.

The play was originally commissed by South Coast Repertory and premiered there in May 2005.
Production files span 2 Hollinger boxes consisting of 19 folders, one Playbill and the cast/family photo.
