"The Man Who Had All The Luck is a charming story of a young Midwestern man blessed with good fortune which seems to elude everyone else around him.  The play wrestles with the justice of fate--how one man failed and another, no more or less capable, achieved some glory in life.  Arthur Miller wrote the script in 1940, setting the play two years earlier in 1938, during a time of great struggle for the nation.  It was the end of the Depression and Europe was beginning the war.  In 1944, The Man Who Had All The Luck became Arthur Miller's first Broadway production." --Roundabout
