Playwright Tom Stoppard wrote The Real Inspector Hound in 1968 and it was produced off-Broadway in 1972. The play centers on two theater critics, Moon and Birdboot, who are watching a cliched thriller and are drawn into the action on stage. Fifteen Minute Hamlet, performed before The Real Inspector Hound, is an extract from Stoppard's play Dogg's Hamlet, which has a Shakespearean troupe reciting high points from Shakespeare's Hamlet with the words spoken without break in rapid-fire delivery.
Production files contain 8 folders and one playbill. Collection lacks prompt script and all documents detailing the artistic vision for the play (director's notes, costume, set, lighting and sound design).

Photograph file contains four black and white prints with press agent Boneau Bryan Brown's information listing photo credit to Martha Swope affixed to back.
