The Show Off was produced by Roundabout at the Criterion Center Stage Right, with previews beginning October 5, 1992 and closing December 13, 1992. Opening night was November 5, 1992. Tickets ranged in price from $20.76 to $28.21.

The production was directed by Brian Murray with set design by Ben Edwards, costumes by David Charles, lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski, and sound design by Douglas J. Cuomo.

Starring Laura Esterman as Clara, Pat Carroll as Mrs. Fisher, Sophie Hayden as Amy, Edmund C. Davys as Frank Hyland, Richard Woods as Mr. Fisher, Tim DeKay was Joe, Boyd Gaines as Aubrey Piper, Kevin McClarnon as Mr. Gill and J.R. Horne as Mr. Rogers. Understudies were Trent Bright, Meg Chamberlain, and Patricia Kennell Carroll.
The Show Off, George Kelly's 1924 play focused on the interplay between the boastful Aubrey Piper and his wife's family - primarily his mother-in-law Mrs. Fisher - is considered to be one of the 20th century's great comedies. The Show Off was first produced on Broadway by Stewart & French, Inc. at the Playhouse Theatre. Several film adaptations followed. The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego produced the play in 1991, directed by Jack O'Brien, with Don Sparks playing Aubrey and Sada Thompson playing Mrs. Fisher. Playwright George Kelly won the Pulitzer Prize in 1925 for his play Craig's Wife.
Production consists of one box containing 6 folders. Collection lacks prompt script and all information about the artistry or management of the production. Box contains two copies of the playbill.

Photograph file contains two black and white prints with Boneau Bryan Brown's press information listing Martha Swope Associates (Carol Rosegg) adhesived to back; and one negative.

Digital file contains scanned playbill, production photographs, artwork and memo extracted from floppy disc indicating loan of prompt script (never returned).
