Interview with set designer Scott Pask by Ted Sod for the Education department, conducted in 2003.  Interview features Pask discussing designing sets for musicals, the different aspects of a set, the story in the musical, the themes present in the set of Nine, the use of the mirror in the set, painting of the set, overseeing the painting and construction of the set, what he looks for in directors, working with director David Leveaux and the creative process, the aspect of light in this production, designing for a larger space and having to reduce the size, research for the show, his background in architecture and having lived in Italy, working with lighting designer  Brian MacDevitt; the combination of the light and water, previous work experience in film, education background, advice to young persons interested in set designing,incorporating his various interests, artistic influences and inspirations, seeing musicals as a kid, and other designers.
